The Infinite Jest wiki was created by Tim Ware in February 2009. Tim also developed the Thomas Pynchon wikis — all of 'em.

Special thanks go to Andrew E. Mathis whose own Infinite Jest wiki has been folded into this one. Andrew's content gives the page-by-page annotations a great kickstart. And thanks also go to Erik Ketzan whose encouragement and prodding was instrumental in getting this all together. Erik runs his own excellent Literary Wiki website.

The Infinite Jest wiki is built on the MediaWiki platform, a wiki software package licensed under the GNU General Public License. It is written in PHP and uses either the MySQL or PostgreSQL relational database management system. It is the same software as is used by Wikipedia.

Because this wiki, like most wikis, is comprised of contributions from many users, readers should be aware that due diligence would dictate that information here be corroborated with other sources to ensure accuracy. However, everyone does their best.
